Since 2000, the market size has almost doubled in Japan. The increasing number of music events at the large size arenas and outdoor is resulting in increased demands for advanced stage gears, lighting and sound systems.

Japan's live music market shows steady growth
The first half of 2017 shows that both total sales and the number of attendance have increased from the same period in 2016 in Japan. This is a promising trend after the temporary drop caused by the renovation of major venues in 2016. Live concerts derived from animation contents are attracting a large attendance and the number is still growing.

Large-scale arenas are to open
In parallel with the reconstruction of large size arenas in metropolitan area toward 2020 Tokyo Olympics, construction of several new facilities are scheduled. Two multi-purpose arenas have opened in 2017, and more to come to meet the market demand where people put more weight on experiential consumption rather than material consumption.
